AION builds its cars for the Chinese market first. Most of what makes a China-spec car awkward overseas is fixable before it ships, and far cheaper to fix here than after it lands. These are the six areas we check on every order.
The six-point compatibility check
Vehicle language
Cluster, infotainment and voice assistant switched to English, French, Arabic or Russian where the model supports it. We confirm which languages your build can run before you pay.
Charging connector
AION cars leave the plant with a GB/T port. We convert to Type 2 or CCS2 where your market needs it, and supply the matching cable set.
AC/DC charging
On-board charger rating checked against your grid — single or three phase, 50 Hz — and DC fast-charge compatibility confirmed against the networks you actually have.
Multimedia system
Navigation maps, app store and streaming services differ outside China. We tell you what works, what needs a local SIM, and what to replace with wireless CarPlay or Android Auto.
Regional compatibility
Homologation, drive side, headlight beam pattern, tyre rating and climate pack matched to your country's requirements before the car is built.
Home charger
Wall box specified and shipped with the vehicle, wired for your plug standard and supply voltage so the car can charge the day it lands.
Other conversions we handle
- Right hand drive sourcing, where GAC builds it for the model
- Headlight beam pattern for left or right hand traffic
- Tyre and wheel specification for hot climates and poor road surfaces
- Spare parts pack — filters, brake pads, 12V battery, charge cable
- Roof rails, tow bar and protection packs
- Dealer branding removal and delivery-ready preparation
Tell us your country and we will run the check
Send your destination and the model you are considering. We come back with which of the six points apply, what each conversion costs, and how much time it adds.
